The decorative front entrance greets visitors with elegant potted plants and black iron railing.

The existing historic pergolas with pruned wisteria create a shady, cozy seating area that transitions to a turf open lawn and pool terrace.
Beautiful limelight hydrangeas stand out and frame the trimmed ivy brick wall and hedge, defining the limestone edge that surround the turf.

We reconfigured the pool and terrace, unified the material palette, and layered the planting to achieve this stunning,
historically sympathetic renovation in Old Town Alexandria.

The garden opens up to a large entertaining terrace that’s limestone banded and paved with sandstone buff flagstone. The side gate is framed with hornbeam trees on the inside of the brick wall and white structured crepe myrtles anchor the steps to the turf area.

As part of the rejuvenation, we introduced a series of thoughtful improvements: new terraces for gathering, a convenient side‑door entrance, a covered connection between outdoor spaces, a cushioned turf lawn for children, an expanded entertaining terrace that also serves as a basketball court, fresh hydrangea borders, and a more welcoming, refined entry experience.
